community advisory council
The Community Advisory Council (CAC) is a pilot program of the Mississippi Museum of Art (the Museum), directed by CAPE, that aims to invite our community to be volunteer partners in all aspects of Museum organization and planning. Over the course of a series of gatherings, the CAC is tasked with helping the Museum examine its approach to exhibitions, community engagement, and institutional strategies by offering evaluative feedback, ideas for collaborative opportunities, and awareness of the desires of local communities. These gatherings are focused on connecting the Museum to local discussions that will increase the extent to which our work reflects the communities the Museum serves and is relevant to the lives of contemporary Mississippians.
