White Gold | DJ Young Venom

February 22, 2018

"Cotton is like a double edged sword...

We've told these stories in so many different ways and so many different times that it's possible that we can still use this same subject matter, but still move forward. In order for stuff to move forward, we've just gotta have those conversations and not be afraid of them."

DJ Young Venom (Phillip Rollins) reflects inside the galleries of White Gold: Thomas Sayre, an immersive exhibition at the Mississippi Museum of Art meditating on the complexities of a Southern cotton field.

On view through July 8, 2018.
